As I have always had an inexplicable love for the Middle East, it’s inevitably connected with the Arabic language. Althouagh hard to learn i try to combine them with my silkscreen & art prints imagery.

Although the world is turning more dark, my current proces is to create a world, bold of colorful patterns. Something that brings people joy! Going on a trip through Northern Africa & the Middle East to see what repetition and clashing patterns can do with our perception. 

The Netherlands have a long history with Northern Africa & The Middle East and although the emphasis nowadays is put on the differences i think that the similarities are way more interesting.
